HERE WE GO ROUND THE MULBERRY BUSH

Literally that was what we did, after Sunday worship at Beryl's, some of us went to Peter Young's house to pick mulberries which were in harvest. Everyone had potluck lunch and then adjourned to the mulberry bush, The mulberry fruit isn't exactly sweet but can get sticky and leaves dark purple stains on your hands.
Jordan plucked a bundle and he went right into the entangled bush. He emerged pretty scruffy and his hands had mulberry stains all over, yikes!
There was also a lemon tree and mandarin orange tree. Peter's house was like a harvest garden with lots of fruits and plants around. One of the peacocks decided to flaunt its tail at the right time and I captured the shot with Jordie.

What fun! I love them. I grow them in my backyard. Yes, they grow in Malaysia. Smaller bushes, need to prune them real hard after picking the fruits to get more fruits in the next harvest. Jonathan loves to make frozen mulberry banana smoothie - delicious and very healthy.
